Next to walking, running is the most natural and one of the healthiest forms of activity for humans. It strengthens immunity, gives energy, improves the figure and, very importantly, has an anti-depressant effect. Running is an aerobic (aerobic) exercise - it strengthens the respiratory and circulatory systems. The runner's heart is more efficient, its volume increases, blood pressure normalises and the pulse lowers. The blood vessels become more elastic, the lungs more efficient, so the brain is better oxygenated.
Regular running is a proven stress reliever and one of the most effective forms of anti-depression therapy. After a workout, we not only have an excellent mood, but also the satisfaction of having overcome our own weaknesses. Jogging boosts self-confidence and teaches patience. It is also an opportunity to reflect, gain distance and inner peace.
